Why image privacy matters
Photos used for documents can contain identity cards, invoices, handwritten notes, signatures or private screenshots. Sending them to a conversion server adds another system that temporarily handles those files.
Local browser conversion can create the PDF on the device instead, avoiding an upload step for the conversion itself.
Prepare consistent source images
Rotate photos correctly and remove obvious duplicates before selecting them. Mixed portrait and landscape images can still be placed into one PDF, but checking orientation first improves the reading experience.
If image resolution is extremely high, the final PDF can become large. Consider using appropriately sized source photos rather than repeatedly compressing the result later.
Understand what conversion does not do
Turning a photo into a PDF does not automatically perform OCR, correct perspective, redact sensitive details or validate that the document is acceptable to a receiving organization.
Review the output exactly as a recipient will see it and verify the submission requirements before sending it.
Predict the page layout from image dimensions
Pageivo creates one A4 page per selected file and fits the image proportionally within a 28-point margin on each side. Portrait and square images use portrait pages; wider-than-tall images use landscape pages. It does not crop, straighten photographed paper or remove backgrounds.
A worked geometry example: a 1200 × 1600 portrait photo fits in a 539.28 × 785.89 point box. Width is the limiting dimension, so the image becomes 539.28 × 719.04 points with extra space above and below. This calculation describes the layout rule, not a measurement of a user photo.

Local processing does not remove local copies
Files are read in the browser, but downloads stay in your Downloads folder until you remove them. Website analytics and advertising are separate from document processing; see Privacy for those data flows. The output is image-based, without OCR or editable text.
- Select JPG or PNG files one at a time in the desired order.
- Check Selected files; clear and re-add if the order is wrong.
- Create and open the PDF; compare its page count with the file count.
- Inspect orientation, edges and the smallest needed text.
