When one-page PDFs are useful
Individual page files are useful when pages must be reviewed separately, uploaded to different form fields or reassembled after replacing a damaged scan.
They can also help identify problematic pages in a very large document because each output file becomes independently inspectable.
Expect many files
A 60-page PDF becomes 60 separate PDFs, so a ZIP archive is normally the most practical way to download them. Extract the ZIP into a dedicated folder to avoid mixing the pages with unrelated files.
Use zero-padded filenames such as page-001.pdf if you rename them manually. This keeps file sorting correct after page 9.
Reassemble carefully
If you later merge the individual pages back together, verify that no file was renamed, deleted or sorted incorrectly. Numeric ordering is especially important when a folder contains more than nine pages.
Keep the original PDF until the split-page workflow is complete and the final output has been checked.
Create ten independent PDFs from the numbered sample
In Split PDF, choose Try a sample, then clear the Split ranges field completely. A blank field creates one PDF per physical source page. The supplied numbered-10.pdf should produce ten one-page files in pageivo-split-pdf.zip. The sample initially fills ranges, so leaving that sample value in place would instead create three multi-page parts.
Pageivo currently names the files pageivo-part-1.pdf through pageivo-part-10.pdf without zero padding. A file manager that sorts text alphabetically may place part-10 between part-1 and part-2. Do not use that visual sort order as proof of correct reassembly.

Replace a page without losing track
When replacing a damaged scan, confirm both the content and the intended physical position. Keep the ten-page original so an accidentally omitted one-page file can be recovered without rescanning.
- Load the numbered sample in Split PDF.
- Delete the suggested range and run the tool.
- Extract the ZIP into a new folder and open parts 1, 2, 9 and 10, then check the remaining pages.
- If merging later, add files in numeric order or rename reviewed copies with three-digit prefixes first.
